Repentance

And verily, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them, (till his death).
(Ta-Ha 20:82)

A Muslim’s faith may become weak and he may be overwhelmed by his desires. The Shaytaan may make sin attractive to him, so he wrongs himself (commits sin) and falls into that which Allaah has forbidden. Allah is indeed Forgiving and Merciful and His mercy encompasses all things. So, repent to Allah Subhanu wa tala with sincere devotion

“O you who believe! Turn to Allaah with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will expiate from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise)” [al-Tahreem 66:8]

Say: "O 'Ibâdî (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allâh, verily Allâh forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful [Surah Zumar v.53]
This is reminder to myself first and foremost and then to you, To not despair the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Repentance should be sincere and of course to never go back to the sin. Repentance gives you sense of relief and accomplishment and brings you closer to Allah Subhanu wa tala. Take heed and repent before the gate of repentances closes. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving and Most Merciful.
